Our Story

My journey began in 2019 when I adopted Dobby, a rescue dog who opened my eyes to the pervasive animal cruelty that exists but often goes unnoticed and disregarded.

As a Product Designer & a graduate from NIFT Delhi, I enjoyed my work, but it left me feeling unsatisfied at the end of the day. During the pandemic, I came across pages like EarthlingEd and Peepal Farm, which exposed me to the cruelty inflicted on animals in the name of food. It made me realize the hypocrisy in my own choices.

Motivated to make a change, I made a conscious decision to eliminate all dairy products and eggs from my diet. I used my existing social media following to raise awareness about animal cruelty, hoping to inspire others to change their habits. However, instead of support, I received backlash, with people unfollowing me and urging me to stop sharing such content.

It was disheartening to see people's indifference,thankfully, my transition inspired my mother, sister, and a few close friends to follow suit.

However, we faced a challenge as we all had a sweet tooth and struggled to find satisfying vegan desserts. This led me to see an opportunity—to create vegan desserts that could cater to transitioning vegans and those who missed their favorite treats.

Although I never anticipated having a baking business, it became a way for me to contribute to helping animals in need. Today, I continuously experiment with new ingredients, create new desserts, and assist vegans across India in enjoying the foods they once had to give up..

Our Philosophy

When it comes to our desserts, we are all about indulgence without compromise. We understand that some people may have the misconception that vegan desserts lack flavor and texture, often likening them to sand. However, that is not the case here at TCT. We have made it our priority to create vegan desserts that are incredibly delicious, ensuring that you can satisfy your sweet tooth without sacrificing taste or quality.

Our bakery is dedicated to the mission of Cooling the Earth One Tin at a Time. We recognize that animal agriculture is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, even surpassing transportation. By adopting a lifestyle free from animal products, each individual has the power to personally reduce their carbon emissions by 20-30%. Just imagine the tremendous impact we could achieve if everyone joined us in taking a stand against global warming and animal cruelty."
